A small hike that starts near the church of “Torrechayoc”, dedicated to the patron saint of Urubamba. We start our walk in the “chacras” (crop fields) located around town. From there, we begin our ascent to the Tantamarka cross following the footsteps of the pilgrims who get the cross down to town during the celebrations of Cruz Velakuy in May. From this Christian cross, we enjoy a privileged view of “Chicón” (5.530m) and the Sacred Valley.
